Meet Boo: The World’s Cutest Dog

If you ever find yourself having a bad day, we encourage you take about five minutes to look at the pictures of Boo the Pomeranian. We guarantee that you’ll feel a lot better. Proclaimed as the world’s cutest dog, this 6 year old Pomeranian has managed to get the gleeful attention of everyone, from regular Facebook users around the world to celebrities like Khloe Kardashian and George Stephanopoulos (who called him the “ultimate chick magnet"). Boo’s Story Boo first hit the web in 2009 when his owner started posting pictures of her dog online. Apparently, her friends loved the photos, so they decided to create a Boo Facebook page as joke. His claim to fame started to skyrocket when Ke$ha tweeted about Boo calling him her “new boyfriend” and when Khloe Kardashian wrote about him on her blog. After this, the likes came pouring in the thousands per day, and the rest is history. (Boo currently has more than 5 million fans on Facebook.) Boo’s life is widely covered in the media and he’s even appeared in the show Good Morning America a number of times. Another proof is his immense fame? Boo also became a victim of a social media death hoax in April, when rumors claiming that he died in his sleep or drowned in a duck pond circulated on Twitter. This rumor was later debunked as the adorable Pomeranian remained alive and well. Boo Merchandise: Books, Calendars, and Stuffed Animals Last year, Chronicle Books published Boo: The Life of the World’s Cutest Dog. The book features several exclusive photographs of Boo doing all his favorite things, namely lounging around, playing with friends, exploring the world, and making those adorable puppy dog eyes at the camera. The book became an international best seller and left fans asking from more. Which is why in July 2012, Boo release yet another book, this time entitled Boo: Little Dog in the Big City. This latest volume shows pictures of Boo’s life in big city. Check him out has goes shopping, off to the beach, and making new friends. Both books retail for a little over 9 dollars on Amazon. Want to get your hands on Boo? The good news is, you don’t have to fly to San Francisco to stalk him. Boo also comes as a stuffed animal, so you can cuddle with this adorable dog any time you want. The toy retails at almost $20 on Amazon and is getting rave reviews from shoppers. If you REALLY can’t get enough of Boo, you should check out his calendar which sells for around $14. Also keep an eye out for an A-B-C book by Boo specifically geared towards children. Boo’s Owner The identity of Boo’s mom remained a mystery until August 2008, when tech blog AllThingsD revealed that the world’s cutest dog belongs to Iren Ahn, a finance executive at Facebook. Prior to this discovery, Ahn used the stage name J.H. Lee because she wanted to keep her identity private and just keep the spotlight on her dog.

Cutest Guys on TV

From conmen and vampires, to billionaire sons and surgeons, the small screen definitely offers up plenty of hunky guys that steam up primetime TV. This season’s TV lineup gives us a generous dose of eye candy and we here at WomenWire have compiled a list the cutest guys on television. Check them out below and see if your favorite TV hunks made the list: Matt Bomer â€" This cute (too bad he’s gay) actor plays the dashing Neal Caffrey in USA’s hit series White Collar. Known as a former conman turned FBI consultant, Caffrey helps the FBI solve art crimes in the New York area. Aside from White Collar, Bomer has played a couple of small roles on the big screen in movies like In Time and Magic Mike. He also had a recurring role as Bryce Larkin on Chuck, and from 2001-2003 he played Ben Reade on the soap opera Guiding Light. Joshua Bowman â€" Bowman stars in the sizzling primetime show Revenge, where he plays Daniel Grayson, son of Conrad and Victoria Grayson. In the show, he also acts as the love interest of leading lady Emily Thorne (played by Emily Vancamp) who he also happens to date in real life. Hailing from England, Bowman is also known for dating Amy Winehouse and Miley Cyrus. Taye Diggs â€" Diggs first came into the spotlight when he became part of the five-time Tony Award winning play Carousel. Aside from being great on stage, Digg has also made plenty of appearances on the big screen, in movies like Chicago and Equilibrium. He currently plays Dr. Sam Bennett in the ABC series Private Practice. Ian Somerhalder â€" Somerhalder is best known for making the ladies swoon for his role as Damon in the show Vampire Diaries. Somerhalder has chiseled good looks that got him modeling for Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabanna, Gucci, Versace and Guess at the age of 10. He then worked his way to show business and landed roles in shows and movies such as Lost, Pulse, and The Rules of Attraction. Chace Crawford â€" Crawford plays the wealthy Nate Archibald in the series Gossip Girl. Crawford grew up in Plano, TX and moved to the city of angels to study at Pepperdine University, where he struggled to find a career path before settling into acting. Prior to his big break in Gossip Girl, Crawford landed roles in Lifetime’s TV movie Long Lost Son, and thriller The Covenant. Patrick Dempsey â€" Known as Dr. McDreamy in the hit show Grey’s Anatomy, Dempsey is often teased (in a good way) about his striking looks and perfect wavy hair. A lot of women regard him as a real live prince charming, which is probably the reason why he landed roles in movies like Enchanted and Made of Honor. Simon Baker â€" You can’t go wrong with his hunky blonde hair and great smile. Baker stars as Patrick Jane in the hit TV show The Mentalist. Prior to that, this Aussie played Nick Fallin in the series The Guardian, and he also landed big screen roles in movies such as The Devil Wears Prada and Land of the Dead. Image credit: Wiki Commons
